Happy Bloody Halloween!

Getting ready for my first Halloween party in New York!!! Soooo excited!
Till yesterday I couldn’t make up my mind about what I wanted to be for Halloween, but eventually I stumbled into a wonderful mexican shop next to where we live and I felt in love with this crazy mask straight away…isn’t it insane? And how cool is to be a sexy mexican wrestler in leopard print? ;)
Unfortunately I couldn’t find anymore the leopard catsuit I saw the day before to pair the mask…but it doesn’t matter too much, I will arrange something out of my wardrobe (which isn’t much because eventually I decided to pack very light and to fight with the luggage weight limit on my way back)!
Thanks for all your sweet comments honeys, I will answer to them very soon…and I promise to post some shots from our first days in NYC in the next few days!
Also, I have a new interview with one of my fav fashion designers nearly ready to be published, so stay tuned!!
Wish you an exciting Bloody Halloween!!!!
xxxx

Goodbye Milan

Pic above courtesy of La Miss

Sooooo…in a few hours me and Ced will be flying to US…at the moment I’m incredibly tired (I’m fighting with my luggage and the 23 kg limit….too bad, not enough…I mean, just the computer weights 3 kilos!!!) and I cannot wait to be on the plane to sleep a little bit (our flight is at 8 o’clock in the morning and we decided not to go to sleep, but now I’m sleeping dead already).
This is the plan: we will be a couple of weeks in NY and about two months on the west coast, mainly LA I suppose. So, if any of you honeys has got tips about shopping, restaurants, hairdressers, clubs, galleries and whatever else please leave me a note, I would love to hear your voice…and maybe meet up if you are in the area! And when I am settled in NY I will answer to all of you…
Now I leave you with some details of my brand new finished tattoo: last Saturday I went back to visit Luigi and his gorgeous girlfriend (La Miss) to get two roses done around the cat skull…too awesome!! Go here to see the rest of the tat and more pics.

Well, I think I’m going back to my suitcase now…
speak to you soon
xxxxxxxx

Chadwick Tyler and Karen Langley | Dazed & Confused November issue

Check here the other exclusive images shooted by Chadwick Tyler and styled by Karen Langley for November issue of Dazed & Confused.
Featuring model Charlene.

Tyler said about the inspirations for the shoot: ”Karen and I spoke about trying a story that very loosely was inspired by the resurgence of lo-fi art interpretations. There really weren’t many references in the shoot itself. The inspiration came in the processing after the shoot. I worked with Aaron Amaro and Jon Banthorpe on the post production. We wanted to apply hand techniques to each image. There are a lot of reproductions on top of reproductions. Each piece had it’s own technique applied from hand painted textures to open light scans three and four generations from the original. We chose Charlie because she was new and we wanted someone that had not really been shot before. She just seemed to fit the project.”

Q+A with Daniel Palillo | SS11 Nightmares and Cowboys

How cool is the new Daniel Palillo’s collection? Big eyes wide opened, rib cages, punk skulls, distressed typo and large use of black and white… so f-ing HOT!
So hot that I couldn’t resist…I had to go and find Daniel and ask him a few questions about his vision and what inspires him…check out what he told me in this interview that screams FUN!!

Hi Daniel!

Can you describe your latest SS11 collection and the inspiration behind it?
The main inspiration i guess was the Finnish band Leningrad Cowboys. I mixed that with some traditional halloween things.

Who wears Daniel Palillo? And how would you like to see your garments worn?
I wear Daniel Palillo. Rest I dont know but hopefully many people find it interesting and something they would like to wear.
How do you define style? And how would you describe your personal style?
People often ask me this and I have no idea. I just want to make clothes that I want to wear.  I only wear clothes from my own collection.

If style could be a place would it be….?
A mix of Helsinki and Naples.

And if it was a person? Who’s your style icon?
The comic book guy from the Simpsons.

Who are your fantasy dinner party guests?
My closest friends.

What’s in your ipod?
Right now it is lot of old stuff. But in general from hip hop to metal.

Where do you live? What is an absolute must-do there?
I live in Helsinki. I would say Helsinki is the best in general hanging around.

Your last trip? And the next one?
My last trip was Paris fashion week, but during the fashion week I always feel tired and wanna have takeway dinners in hotel so thats boring. Right before that i did a motorcycle roadtrip with my friends. Driving around Europe that was pretty insane. Lot of things happened. My motorcycle went down in french country side. Good memories.
Next one I hope i will find time to go in london to visit my friends.

Any plans for future?
Never had any plans and hopefully never will. Living day by day.

Thank you Daniel!
